Neskowin Valley School is a community effort, supported by volunteerism and charitable
giving. Tuition revenues cover a small percentage of our budget; we depend on the support
and generosity of both parents and the larger community. We seek the active participation of
parents and friends, and their involvement makes our community strong. Learning between
generations is essential to the character of the school. This may arise from parents with
special talents working in the classrooms, accompanying field trips, driving carpools,
volunteering in the library, and helping with campus work parties and fundraising efforts. The
school depends on this collaboration for inspiring community.
"Volunteering is the ultimate experience in democracy. You vote in
elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the
kind of community you want to live in."  Margorie Moore
