Gather at NVS

In 1972, George and Margot Thompson reimagined a 1940’s dairy barn into something extraordinary: a warm, purpose-built gathering space rooted in nature, community, and place-based education.

More than fifty years later, their vision still lives in every corner of the NVS campus.

Nestled among lush forests, open meadows, and winding creeks on the stunning Oregon Coast, Neskowin Valley School feels peaceful, grounded, and genuinely magical.

Inside, a two-story great room with soaring cathedral ceilings and a large central fireplace anchors gatherings of all kinds. A full kitchen makes shared meals and food prep easy, while the gym (complete with a stage) opens directly to the outdoors, creating a seamless flow between indoor comfort and outdoor adventure.

Outside, the campus unfolds into acres of meadow, forest, and creekside trails. A covered outdoor gathering area offers space to connect (rain or shine), while a working garden, playground, and endless room to roam make the property feel as alive as it is beautiful.
