Part-Time Lower School Teacher (Grades 3-5)
Neskowin Valley School is seeking a part-time Lower School Teacher (approximately 20 hours per week) to teach core subjects to students in grades 3–5 within our multi-age learning environment. The ideal candidate is a creative, student-centered educator who values experiential, place-based learning and enjoys fostering curiosity, confidence, and meaningful connections. This position offers the opportunity to teach in small classes, engage students in hands-on learning, and become part of a collaborative, mission-driven school community.

Part-Time Garden Teacher
Neskowin Valley School is seeking a passionate Garden Educator to help grow our emerging farm-to-school program and inspire students to connect with the land, food, and the natural world. This part-time position (approximately 2–3 hours per week) works with students in PreK through Grade 6, leading engaging, hands-on garden lessons while helping steward and develop our school garden as an outdoor classroom.
The ideal candidate has experience in gardening, farming, outdoor education, or a related field and enjoys working with young children in a playful, experiential learning environment. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a growing program rooted in curiosity, sustainability, and place-based education, with the potential for the role to expand as the program grows.

Specialized Teachers
We are seeking passionate and skilled specialized teachers to join our school on a part-time basis, teaching one day a week in subjects such as art, theater, outdoor education, Spanish, and more. These educators will bring creativity and expertise to enrich our students' learning experiences beyond the core curriculum. Ideal candidates should have a strong background in their subject area, a love for teaching, and the ability to engage students in hands-on, interactive learning. If you have a talent to share and a desire to inspire young learners, we would love to explore this opportunity with you.
Substitute Teachers
Our school is looking for dedicated and reliable substitute teachers to join our team. Substitutes play a vital role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment when regular teachers are unavailable. Ideal candidates should be adaptable, have strong classroom management skills, and be passionate about working with students. We welcome individuals with prior teaching experience or those interested in gaining experience in education.
